Low Voltage / Network Technician

VBT enhances security for homes and small-to-medium businesses by providing security surveillance ,Access Control ,  IT Services ,IP PBX Phone System and wireless radio communication equipment, industrial networking products, and telecommunication services.


VBTronics is currently seeking to fill a Position for a full-time low-voltage Networking Technician with experience. Ideal candidates are passionate about configuring security IP Camera Systems, Access Control, Alarms, POS, and low-voltage Cableing. Familiarity with security surveillance systems, NVRs/DVRs, or network configuration experience is a plus.


We prefer applicants with a minimum of 3-year of experience in all of the following:


Installation and configuration of

  • IP camera and phone systems
  • Perform installation, service, and maintenance work on security, fire, card access, and video surveillance systems
  • Install, configure, and upgrade software related to these systems
  • Installation of Security Cameras
  • Meeting with clients and developing a positive relationship
  • Running CAT-5 and CAT-6 cables and terminating
  • Operating Boom and Scissors Lifts
  • Mounting and adjusting security cameras
  • Documenting the installation via pictures and notes
  • Video door access systems
  • Network video recorders
  • Ubiquiti WIFI devices
  • IP PBX and Cloud Phone System
  • Access control systems (Biomatrices, RFID Readers)
  • Running and terminating cat 5/6 cables
  • Installation of Rack Wireless failover devices

  • 5+ Year Experience with low voltage cabling in commercial and industrial environments
